Don’t let anyone Sabotage your future

There are several things that keeps us stagnant when moving from debt to wealth. Fear, not having faith, etc.

Perfect example of sabotage, what happens when you start to tell people that you’re getting out of debt and saving money? People start to throw you off course. They say silly things such as “Why are you depriving yourself?” “You never have fun, live a little” and so on. These people are trying to justify why they’re in debt. Same as with dieting, you start to show results they start to shove food down your throat because your results make them feel guilty from their lack of success. These are the same people in debt and are overweight. They make you feel like you’re missing something. Ha!

It’s funny how sabotage works. Don’t get suckered into this trap. It happens all the time. It can come from friends, family or peers.

Learn to say “no” when people, TV or radio try to divert you off the plan. Don’t try to do too much to0 fast. Gradually take your time. Pay your bills and expenses as usual and then start to increase your minimum payments. Same with saving, start by saving 5% then 10% then 20%. This is how I started. Don’t procrastinate start this Monday! Set up automatic saving plan and have your bank or employer deduct a set of amount of money to be withdrawn. This can be done monthly.

Start contributing to your retirement. If you’re already contributing, increase it. Don’t think for a minute that you’re missing something by making extra payments to your consumer debt. You’re not. Stay away from the mall and don’t think that sales are only for one day or a short period of time.  They will always be a sale.

Move from debt to wealth. Why? it  generates more cash flow for you to grow a business and/or save more money. Now you have more to invest, save, travel, or build wealth. When your mind is clear from debt, you can take chances and capitalize on any ideas that you may have.

At the end of the day, you’re responsible for you. Pay off debt and move into wealth. The results are heavenly. I should know.
